Not "is this strategy good". A target: the total cost per round trip your edge can absorb and still be an edge. Once you have that number, choosing a venue and an order type is arithmetic instead of a guess.
Any venue and tier whose round-trip commission is under 35.0 basis points leaves something over. A major venue's worst taker tier is around 10 bps a round trip and its maker tier around 4, so compare against those before assuming a fee problem.
Gross per trade is what your backtest reports with costs set to zero, divided by the number of round trips, expressed in basis points of the traded size. Non-fee costs are funding, spread at your size, and the drift between your signal and your fill — the three that a strategy tester never charges you for.
Guessing that second number is exactly the problem this product exists to fix. Upload the trade list and it is measured for you, each line labelled with how well it is known, and refused where there is no basis for it. Or read a worked example first.
